Handed to Execution
The debut album. Nine tracks and 37 minutes, released October 27, 2023.
The record
"Death by metal... The debut album by the death-speed ragers Phantom. Nine tracks of old school steel. Fast, loud and lethal."
Recorded at Nehtron Studios from May to October 2023. "We didn't know anything about recording back then, we learned on the making," J.C. said later. "It was a challenge, but we nailed it."
High Roller Records reissued the album in September 2025, remixed and remastered by Patrick W. Engel.
What was happening
The beginning, 2021-2023
Phantom started in Guadalajara in 2021 as a project just for fun. Singer and guitarist J.C. García wanted to bring back the spirit of classic 1980s metal, and friends joined him, including guitarist Harel Olguín.
In 2022 came the Hellspeed Death demo and a four-way split. In 2023 the band released the live album Devil Metal Live and the split Tapes From the Crypt.
